Since 2012, the University of Maryland (UM) Center for Integrative Medicine has been hosting a Health and Wellness Conference here in Baltimore – this year, we’re excited to join the fun!
On April 16, the UM faculty and other world-renowned experts will lead a variety of workshops on topics like: tips for eating healthy on a budget, writing for wellness, brain health, Food as Medicine, healthy eating, interventions for chronic pain and much more. We can’t wait to learn more from our friend Erin of Nutrition by Erin in her “Menaced Metabolism? Effective Strategies to Tackle Weight Woes” workshop! They’ve also added in morning yoga, and healthy breakfast + lunch will be provided by Zia’s Cafe, one of the conference sponsors.
Anyone interested in health & wellness is invited to attend. But it’s also worth noting that continuing education credits will be available for many health professionals including Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Nurses, Nutritionists/Dietitians, Massage Therapists,and Professional Counselors/Therapists, Certified Wellness Practitioners, Certified Worksite Wellness Specialists, Certified Worksite Wellness Program Managers, and Wellness in Clinical Practice certification holders.
