Thanks again to everyone who joined us at VITA last week for our “Squeezing It All In” workout and talk! We hope you came away with a few tips to help pursue your healthiest, happiest, most balanced life and, most importantly, with the realization that you’re doing the best you can, so cut yourself some slack!
If you couldn’t join us, don’t worry! We missed you, but we still have some great tidbits to share with you here!
Our talk centered around self care, ways to recognize our need for it and ways to help fulfill that need. Below, we’ve pulled together some awesome resources for you to celebrate and emphasize self care PLUS we have a special self care giveaway!
SELF CARE RESOURCES
1. To make healthy eating during busy moments easier
Galley Foods: Awesome, healthy prepared food delivery service when a homemade dinner just ain’t happening. Use promo code BMORETONED for one free meal!
2. To make stocking on healthy snacks you can have at a moments notice
Relay Foods: Kind of like an online farmer’s market – with weekly meal plans prepared by an RD! Delivers to your home for a fee, or offers several pickups throughout the city for free. Bonus: refer your friends and earn $25 in free groceries!
3. To have access to quality practice no matter where you are
Free Baltimore Yoga: Yep, 100% free yoga with some of Baltimore’s best instructors – no catch. Need yoga at home, on the road, at your office, etc.? This podcast with Free Baltimore Yoga founder LA Finfinger is pretty much the best thing ever.
4. To find fun things to do with friends & loved ones
Fitness classes around town: Be sure to check out our blog where we post a monthly calendar of special classes, events, workshops, etc. going on at all the different studios around the city. You can find Kate teaching at BeachFit Baltimore in Harbor East/Fells Point, and Annie at REV in Federal Hill and M.Power Yoga Studio in Canton. To try a free barre class with Annie at REV, use promo code “freedom” after you create an online account and purchase a drop-in class.
And don’t forget VITA! We’re so grateful to them for hosting us but it’s not just us! They are ramping up special events, classes, talks and more at the store! Check out their events calendar for all the fun things coming up!
5. To support something bigger than you & keep things in perspective
Baltimore Free to Breathe Yogathon: For more information on the yogathon we mentioned coming to the Baltimore Zoo on Sunday, August 27th, or to join our BMOREtoned team, check out the website as well as the preview on our blog!
