The official countdown to the holidays begins NOW! It’s super important to keep your mind and body right during the holiday season (and, of course, the leading up to it). You already know what the massive amount of food does to you during this time but remember — the stress can also be a big influence on your body this time of year. Plan ahead and stick with it! We’ve got you covered with tons of fun and healthy events this month!

Thursday, November 5th: New Instructor REVeal–FREE CLASS!
Join REV for a very special night with their new instructor reveal with KG. KG was born to perform, and comes alive when she steps atop the instructor’s podium! Join at 7PM for a free ride to get a taste of KG’s athletic teaching style, and plan to catch her 9AM REVBlast Tuesdays beginning Nov. 17th. (And don’t miss her classes at BeachFit too – she’s a new instructor around town that you’re going to love!)
Thursday, November 5th: McHenry Row Fun Run
Join for a Fun Run Every Week Downtown starting at McHenry Row on Thursdays, 6:15 PM. Route sheets from 3-6 miles provided– all paces welcomed. After the run, head over to the Greene Turtle where the first round is on them!
Friday, November 6th: Remix with Jami & Nick at REV!
Dream team Jami & Nick are joining forces once again to bring you the best of both worlds. They will be remixing their favorite beats to deliver one killer workout. Jami is known for her popular hip-hop, while Nick is know for his soul funk beats… one playlist, 1 hour – this is one Spotify playlist you’re gonna want to hear live with commentary!
Friday, November 6th: Roots, Rock & Reggae
Join Charm City Yoga for a session of FUN on the mat. This vinyasa inspired theme will have your blood pumping while staying cool to reggae vibes. Feel the rhythm of the vibrations move through the body and back out into the universe all while staying connected and centered with the breathe.
Saturday, November 7th: Free Yoga with Charm City Run
Some say running and yoga go together like peanut butter and jelly! If you have never experienced the many benefits of yoga and what it can do to improve you as a runner and a person, come and try! Learn how yoga helps with strength, flexibility, balance, opening up joints and is a huge stress reliever. It will improve your body and your mind. If you want to push yourself to your next PR or complement your casual running, yoga is where it’s at. Come dressed in comfortable loose fitting clothing and bring a water bottle, mat or towel and an open mind. THIS EVENT IS FREE, BUT PLEASE REGISTER.
Saturday, November 7th: Yoga with CATS!
YASSSS you read that right. Like Yoga? Love cats? Get your yoga on with a room full of furry feline critters crawling around. Try to navigate this class as the cats roam free and practice with you. Make a new friend? These cats are all available for adoption, so you can take one home with you if you’d like! Meeeowww!
Saturday, November 7th: Sid Yoga Open House
Sid Yoga is opening its doors to invite in the Federal Hill community. This event is a chance for you to invite your friends and family into the studio for an introduction to Sid Yoga – or you yourself can come and see what it’s about! Come in and learn about the community, meet instructors and other community members, take a free class, open to your yoga practice, or share it with a loved one! There will be an information session before the class where students will have an opportunity to ask questions.
Saturday, November 7th: Mantra Fit Open Studio Event We’ve been meaning to check out Mantra Fit in Severna Park where our friend & fellow Gundalow Ambassador Candice Rush teaches barre and Surfset, and this might be the perfect opportunity! Sign up online to enjoy a morning full of FREE fitness (barre, Surfset, TRX, yoga, PIYO, kickboxing as well as kids’ classes), chair messages, Gundalow Juice tastings & more!
Sunday, November 8th: National Yoga for Vets Day
The National Yoga for Veteran’s Day is a nationwide event and aims to raise awareness about the benefits yoga has for veterans living with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. At the event, there will be three yoga classes – two 45-min sessions for the adults and a 30-min session for children (ages 5 and up). All levels of ability are able to attend – complete beginners and yoga gurus will feel welcomed! There will also be food, a raffle, information booths featuring charities that help wounded warriors and more!

Sunday, November 8th: Across the Bay 10K Race
On Sunday, November 8, 2015, approximately 25,000 runners and walkers will cross the 4.35-mile Chesapeake Bay Bridge as participants in the second annual Across the Bay 10k. The dual-span bridge doesn’t allow pedestrian traffic at any other time of the year, so this is a unique opportunity – and the view is amazing!
Sunday, November 8th: Free to Breathe Yogathon with Charm City Yoga
Join Team Charm City Yoga for the Baltimore Free to Breathe Yogathon on Sunday, Nov 8th. This is a very special practice led by Martha McAlpine with the support of Michelle Cagan, Tami Jacobs and Edith Brottman. You will practice in the stunning B&O Museum Roundhouse. We will gather and build community while helping to save the lives of many. All proceeds will go to Free to Breathe, who’s mission is to ensure surviving lung cancer is the expectation, not the exception.
Sunday, November 8th: Better than Bedtime with November Project
BTB is an international event and will kick off in 26 cities all across the United States and Canada! This year, Better than Bedtime will kick off at 5:00 pm from Rash Field. You’ll run a few miles and then bring our community together for beers and social greatness. This is your first opportunity to bring all of those catz who, due to an early morning allergy, don’t know how damn amazing your Wednesday mornings with November Project are. It’s a low key, easy going event and is guaranteed not to scare your new friends off. Our run will end at an undisclosed location (we promise, you will be able to get home). Since NP doesn’t do anything without a theme (because science has proven that themes make everything better) here it is: Better than Bedtime: What’s Black and White and Read/Red all over?
Tuesday, November 10th: Shake Shack Run Club
Lace up your kicks and join for our monthly Shake Shack Track & Field Run in Baltimore! Meet at Charm City Run Baltimore, then run 3-5 miles around the city. End at Shake Shack where the first round of beers is on them! Charm City Run employees will both lead the group on either a 3 or 5 mile route, and bring bags/phones/etc. to the Shack. All levels and paces welcome! Shack Track & Field runs the second Tuesday of every month at 7pm at locations all over the world. For more information at Shack Track & Field, visit them on Facebook. These runs are FREE and you may just show up, but registering will ensure you receive relevant updates via email. Annie has rocked this club and it was awesome! Definitely worth trying out!
Tuesday, November 10th: FREE Beginner Barre Class at Inline Fitness Curious about Inline’s barre classes? Feeling timid or nervous to try a class? This is the perfect opportunity to get your feet wet and learn the basic moves needed to take any of their classes. This class is free and open to new customers.
Wednesday, November 11th: BelAir Pub Run
Run every Wednesday night in Bel Air with Charm City Run! This week, they’re running from the store and finishing up at the Main Street Oyster House, where the first beer is on them!
Thursday, November 12th: Inline Barre Happy Hour @ Bond Street Social INLINE Fitness is celebrating Thanksgiving this year by hosting “Happy Hour at the Barre” at Bond Street Social on Thursday, November 12th from 5:30-8pm. The event is free and open to all, but they ask anyone who attends to please help us in supporting Moveable Feast, a local company that works to put healthy food on the table for families in Maryland with life-threatening illnesses. Enjoy class from 5:30-6:15PM then enjoy happy hour specials until 8pm!
Friday, November 13th: BeachFit Triple Toning
It’s KIND of a big deal. That’s right, BeachFit is celebrating World Kindness Day with a class that will work you in all the right places. Barre to tone – Cycle to crush – Surf to shred. Get ready to get end the week on a high note with all three types of fitness. PLUS Following class we’ll keep the celebration going with tasty KIND snacks and more! Meditation for Runners with Charm City Run will teach breathing techniques to utilize less energy when you run, decrease stress, and relax muscles.
Saturday, November 14th: Best Buddies 5K
On Saturday, November 14, 2015, runners and walkers will gather at Towson University for the 2nd Annual Best Buddies 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run. This year, the run is sports themed and you’re encouraged to wear your favorite sport jersey or apparel as we all team up to rally for inclusion for individuals with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities.

When the sun goes down, get ready to ROCK at REV. Maddison & Nick rocking the spin room. Janet toning in the barre studio. Jami & Sam crushing it on the bikes. Following class keep the party going with a refreshing Gundalow Juice cocktail and see where the evening takes you!

Monday, November 16th: Sweetgreens Opening!
While this isn’t a fitness event, we’re always up for new healthy options in the city! With a focus on seasonal soups, salads and bowls, this DIY spot is all the rage in D.C. and soon the trendy eatery will open on the bottom floor of the Hyatt Place Baltimore Hotel in Harbor East.

Join VITA for their first Girls Night Out event!
