Happy hump day, babes! If you’re anything like us, you’re already counting down the hours ’til 5PM rolls around. If you don’t have anything to look forward to this weekend, we’re about to change that real quick!
BMOREtoned is invading REV Cycle Studio this weekend and we’re hoping to see you for one or two awesome events!
- The BMOREtoned vs. November Project Happy Ride this Friday at 6PM will be co-taught by our own Jami & and Nick from November Project
- The #Empowered By Gundalow event this Sunday will happen at 11:30AM at REV (and across town at different studios)
Here’s the deets:
BMOREtoned vs. November Project Happy Ride – Friday, September 18
No “bad blood” here, just a good old fashioned sweat-off between us & our motivating pals over at November Project Baltimore! Join Jami & Nick at 6PM for a high-energy & entertaining REV60 ride, replenish with Gundalow Juice samples followed by an afterparty at World of Beers (think extended happy hour specials!). There are less than 10 bikes left, so be sure to snag your’s today – whichever group has the smallest turnout buys the first round. 😉
#EmpoweredByGundalow event – Sunday, September 20
We realize there’s a lot going on with this event, so let us break it down for you:
Our friends at Gundalow Juice have LOTS to celebrate – their One-Year Anniversary, the recent release of their super-empowering anthem AND being named Best Bottled Juice by City Paper in their 2015 Best of Baltimore Poll!
In true #sailwindward fashion, Gundalow isn’t just throwing themselves a party to toot their own horns – instead, they’re rallying with their local partners and encouraging Baltimore to sweat for an AMAZING cause, the Yoga Program for Children with Special Needs at Kennedy Krieger Institute. This program grew out of an understanding of how trauma affects the neurophysiology of the mind and body. It is a trauma-informed mental health mind/body intervention for children 8-12 years old, using yoga, movement, mindfulness and breathing to help children increase behavioral and emotional self-regulation and pro-social skills. Click the article to the right from Kennedy Krieger’s magazine introduces some of the kids who are part of the Yoga programs the proceeds are going towards, through this Center for Child & Family Traumatic Stress.
For the #EmpoweredByGundalow workout, you have the option to sweat this Sunday at 11AM at any of these classes:
- Baltimore Yoga Village – Hatha Yoga w/ Mina
- Beachfit Baltimore – Soulbody Body Barre w/ Emily Lobaugh
Charm City Run McHenry Row – Fun Run w/ Lauren Seserko
Under Armour Performance Center Powered By FX Fitness at UA HQ – Yoga with LA Finfinger & Meghan Sanchez
Wellbridge Harbor East – Pilates & Meditation w/ Jason Williams
Pop Physique – Barre w/ Jackie & Keely Knopp
REV – REV45 Spin w/ Nick Rodricks + Stretch led by Jami Gobao
- barre. at Quarry Lake – Barre w/ Marni Gorman
Yoga Vibez (in Ocean City) – Hot Yoga w/ Michelle
To register for class, purchase your Empowered By Gundalow workout ticket here. Tickets include your sweat session of choice, an Under Armour tank top or T-shirt & Gundalow Juice samples.
Hint: enter promo code EMPOWERED to bring the cost down from $35 to $30.
Following each workout, the party continues at Ryleigh’s Oyster in Fed Hill, where everyone will convene from 12 – 3PM for cocktails and tailgate fare to pregame the Ravens’ game at 4PM. Purchase your Empowered By Gundalow Post-Sweat Celebration ticket here, which includes (2) Gundalow juice cocktails, lite refreshments, photo booth fun with Pixilated and more!
Hint: enter promo code EMPOWERED to bring the cost down from $15 to $10, making the total cost $40 for both tickets.
To clarify: You are NOT required to attend one of the workouts to celebrate afterwards at Ryleighs! So, if you’re anything like us and have a wedding or other celebratory affair this Saturday (yes, somehow all 3 of us will be celebrating different nuptials Saturday, then sweating it all out Sunday!), making your significant other unlikely to work out but in dire need of a hella good Bloody Mary, then please by all means join us in this Sunday Funday for a cause!
All of these workouts will be led by some of Baltimore’s best fitness instructors, so we definitely encourage you to try somewhere you’ve never been before! We’ll be holding down the fort at REV then making our way to Ryleigh’s where we can’t wait to hear about your workout/your wild & crazy Saturday night. 😉
Can’t wait to see ya this Friday and/or Sunday!
