Happy National Running Day!
National Running Day, held every year on the first Wednesday in June, is a day when runners everywhere declare their passion for running. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating by lacing up those kicks!
Running is an incredible workout, a great time to gather your thoughts, a time to bond with running buddies and so much much more. We love to run around the city and through trails in our area. Plus, throughout the year there are endless 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, marathons and more to join!
But running can also be a little intimidating, right? Yes, we admit it. But, it’s ok! Like anything, it takes practice and can be really fun if you let/make it! One of the things we like to remind ourselves is that it’s not a race with everyone else – it’s all about doing YOUR best. “Don’t compare your start to someone else’s middle.” Listen to your body and ease into it – your muscles and lungs (and heart) will get there!

It doesn’t matter when or where you go, we’re just encouraging you to GO! Get out there for a mile jog. Run two miles with friends. Try out a treadmill running workout. No matter what kind of run you get in, get it in!
Seriously, no matter what, we’re proud of you. You’re getting out there and running, for you…for whatever drives you!
